How to Setup Email in KMail (POP3)

Follow these step-by-step instructions to configure your standard IMAP/SMTP email account inside KMail (POP3). If you want instructions tailored perfectly to your domain name (with the exact servers and ports), please use our generator.

Setup Instructions

  1. Open KMail.
  2. Settings → Configure KMail → Accounts.
  3. Click Receiving tab → AddPOP3.
  4. Fill:
  5. - Name: your-name@example.com
  6. - Server: pop.example.com
  7. - Port: 995
  8. - Encryption: SSL/TLS
  9. - Authentication: Clear text (password will be sent encrypted inside SSL)
  10. - Username: your-name@example.com
  11. - Password: Your Password (magic link below)
  12. Click OK.
  13. Go to Sending tab → AddSMTP.
  14. Fill:
  15. - Name: your-name@example.com (outgoing)
  16. - Server: smtp.example.com
  17. - Port: 587
  18. - Encryption: STARTTLS
  19. - Authentication: LOGIN
  20. - Username: your-name@example.com
  21. - Password: Your Password
  22. Click OKApply.
