Setup Instructions

  1. Proton Mail web does not support importing external IMAP accounts.
  2. To use your-name@example.com with Proton, you would need to either:
  3. - Use the Proton Mail Bridge (desktop only) to fetch mail from your-name@example.com into Proton Mail (this requires the external account’s IMAP settings and password).
  4. - Or set up forwarding from your-name@example.com to your Proton address.
  5. If your-name@example.com is a Proton Mail address itself, simply go to mail.proton.me and log in with the Proton credentials (which are different from the Your Password shown here).
